Visual Poetry

As part of Ayb High Schools Project Based Learning program, the members of Արվեստանոց between 2018 and 2019 worked on and (in 2021) published a book of poetry by contemporary Armenian poets alongside original illustrations based off of individual poems drawn by those taking part in the project. The aim was to remove the taboo and prejudices associated with contemporary Armenian poetry and make it more accessible to our peers and the public.

The illustrations I created were based on and accompanied poems by Hasmik Simonyan.
