(3D) is a multimedia artist with a deep interest in fine art, illustration, animation, film and literature from Yerevan, Armenia.
My pursuit in art in all of its iterations, stems from a single principle: being able to mold an idea into its truest and purest form. I’ve come to realize how intertwined and inseparable they are from one another and from myself, my words and my work. This is accomplished by immersing myself in these various artistic mediums— having the creative freedom to express myself through them— whilst also seeing how storytellers before me have gone about creating their own worlds and landscapes.
My work both draws from and feeds into what I tend to identify as the poetic nuances of the day-to-day through exploring the mundane and commonplace and their place in the life, experiences and essence of the individual as a tangible and malleable object among many others just like it. I am eager to tackle themes associated with memory, dreamscapes, the subconscious and the physical enacting of the metaphorical and internal, as well as the concept of duality in all facets of life and identity.
Parallelly, the mediums I gravitate towards have a lot to do with their physicality, and in finding it cathartic and getting an endless amount of pleasure from the physical and quite literal enacting of the metaphor of a piece contributing and adding as much to the person creating as the person is to what they are creating.
